As we step in to a new season, I want to remind you to keep hold of Your Vision. Something very special happened on Labor Day as we were all dressed and suited to present Visions. For the unofficial end of summer - it rained; it literally rained on our parade. The rain however was a blessing and metaphoric. The joyous response from the masqueraders to the rain made the parade an epic one long to be remembered. There will be storms, and rain where you believe there should be sunshine. What might seems like bad news, a twist, or an unfilled expectation could be the perfect outcome if seen through the unwavering light of Your Vision. I encourage to step into Fall with a renewed sense of purpose and allow the fulfillment of your visions to take shape into reality.
“Live the life of your dreams. Be brave enough to live the life of
your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the
expectations and opinions of others.” |

Sesame has partnered with Caribbean/The Future project with their
signature MOVE & DISCUSS SERIES. It is one of the programs under the
Caribbean/The Future project. Living within the frames and myths of
cultural inheritance, this program is a questioning of hyper-visible
constructions of Caribbean cultural practice and speculates on their
evolution, continuation and the kinds of roles they may play in the
lives of those who identify with this culture. Each event is
structured to open with an artistic activation, followed by a
dialogic experience and closed by a community movement ritual,
integrating the participant’s whole being into the event and
providing real time feedback of the ideas discussed. Bringing
together Folk practitioners, Cultural leaders and Caribbean
enthusiasts to move, dialogue and share knowledge in a Cultural
space.
