For over a quarter century, residents of East Flatbush and Canarsie have relied on Sesame Flyers International, Inc. for year-round programs that preserve culture, tradition and values - and we have delivered. This year, over 7,000 individuals and counting, will come through our doors in search of some form of assistance. Whether it is tutoring young students, providing safe and nurturing spaces for children to play during the summer, organizing youth-led community service activities, job readiness programs, providing case management and counseling for families in crisis, giving adult learners access to GED programs and computer technology, or celebrating the rich traditions of Caribbean nations, Sesame Flyers touches almost all aspects of community life.
Participants in the Sesame Flyers International Online Program will master the skills, knowledge, and habits necessary to meaningfully contribute to a complex and diverse community with compassion and confidence. Our online participants experience a safe and secure learning community that would inspire self-motivation and personal challenges and celebrates intellectual, cultural and socioeconomic diversity.

After being apart of Sesame Carnival for many years, Ms. Simone joined the Winthrop Beacon in 2018. While in this position she has increased participant & parent involvement. She is a motivational and understanding leader that focuses on the enhancement and well-being of children. Overall her passion is to be able to educate children and give them memories that they will be able to cherish.
KESHA SHORTTDirector Of SFI Online Program
Kesha Shortt began her career in Youth Development with Sesame Flyers International over 10 years ago. Graduate of Baruch College with a B.S. in Public Affairs, Ms. Shortt joined the Organization as a Job Developer and went on to assume positions as, Director of the In School Youth Program as well as Coordinator of the Summer Youth Employment Program.
YVANNA JACKDirector Of Bildersee Beacon
Yvanna Jack has approximately a decade of successful experience in the youth development industry, she served as an AmeriCorps service member where she worked diligently to close the opportunity and achievement gap for middle school students. Yvanna is a powerful force in her program and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage her participants and staff to work hard and succeed.
