Newsletter, learn about the availability and registration process for

We are happy to announce that we are accepting Middle School applications for the in-person Summer Rising program. Summer Rising is New York City's free summer plan for children in grades K-12.
For the first
time, our Summer Program we will be fully integrated with DOE academics.

The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) recently launched “The Heroes Project” a literacy-focused comic book initiative that challenges youth across NYC to develop stories about heroes - real or imagined - in their own communities. We were fortunate to be selected to offer this program at our Winthrop Beacon. This 3-month program geared towards 3rd and 4th Graders operated virtually and met once a week under the instruction of our Artistic Expression Instructor, Ms. Shyann. The participants truly enjoyed this program and now Simone Warner, Winthrop Beacon’s Program Director is working to incorporate a Heroes Project themed activity into the school year plan.

Join Sesame Flyers for a night celebrating Caribbean culture and family. Celebrate the achievements of deserving college-bound graduating High School Seniors and deserving College Students whose hard work, determination and leadership among their peers is the motivation for this event. We also honor exceptional members of the community who have demonstrated resilience and a profound commitment to the success and empowerment of the Caribbean community. After the awards, you are invited to join us for a night of Caribbean entertainment and dancing. Performances include Steel Pan with a Rhythm Section, Moko Jumbies, Internationally Known Performing Artists, Limbo Dance, and more! All proceeds from this event benefit Sesame Flyers International's array of programs which touch the lives of over 7,000 Brooklyn residents each year. We encourage you to invite your friends, colleagues, and associates to join us in celebrating the leader in you and all of us.
We look forward to seeing you there! |
